Get One of These Top Selling LCD HDTVs

31FVLXVs+bL._SL500_AA280_Buying a television isn’t a small decision and you know that. So you’ve visited around retail stores, you’ve compared prices online and now you’re ready to buy but you’re not sure what one of the top selling LCD HDTVs would be. This handy guide can help cut down on the decision making by introducing you to the best televisions on the market.

The first one we’ll look at is the Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L32X1 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV. Do you or any family members have music or videos on an iPod? This choice offers purchasers an iPod dock. That means you get to hear your music or watch the videos you downloaded right on your television screen. Talk about a decent view!

With this Panasonic, you also get one remote with the television that you’ll find can be used with your other electronics too such as your home theater system. A television that packs this kind of punch, you’d think it would be extremely heavy, but it’s not. It weighs in at less than twenty nine pounds and can easily be shipped right to your front door.

A common thread in top selling LCD HDTVs is that they should offer a great view at angles. With some televisions, you can get a bad picture view when you look at it from an angle and you’ll notice poor picture focus. You won’t notice those problems with the Panasonic. You get great, clear pictures no matter where you are when you look at the screen.

Another television you need to consider is the LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black. Like the Panasonic, it doesn’t weigh much (less than twenty five pounds). You’ll get stable sound quality and you won’t have to worry about getting color wash.
With the topnotch calibration and Dolby Digital speakers, you’ll make a smart move when you bring this one home.

Samsung is name we all trust to deliver good quality products and with their Samsung LN52B750 52-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV with Charcoal Grey Touch of Color you get exactly that.

You get a whopping 52 inch television complete with Med (AT) 2.0 and if you don’t know what that means, it refers to TV widgets. The solid contrast and clear picture are where the details are like you’ve never seen them before. As an added bonus (one of many), you get the content library that includes information on how to cook with the recipes.

You get the ever popular picture in a picture feature so you won’t miss out if you want to see something on two different channels. There’s no doubt about it, that today’s top selling LCD HDTVs deliver more.

Give this Garmin nuvi 260W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator this Christmas

519eE9MTlNLToday, people need to know how to get from Point A to Point B quickly, conveniently and safely. That’s where GPS, and the Garmin nuvi 260W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator, come into play.

Years ago, most everything a person did was generally done in a contained geographical area. Business was conducted in your hometown, as were all other transactions. Recreation was also close to home, and most people didn’t stray too far except for special vacations.

As time progressed, people became much more mobile. And in this day and age, it is commonplace to have to drive to places you’re unfamiliar with on a regular basis. Travel takes place in lands far and near. And socializing and recreation are not confined to your hometown.

GPS is a fairly new technology, and it’s only been in recent years that portable navigation devices for use in the car have become available. This technology is a great advancement over paper maps that can be outdated, and that surely can’t help you find a gas station, or get traffic conditions. For anyone who travels by road at all, a GPS navigator is a sensible investment, and GPS navigators also make excellent gifts for the people you care about.

The Garmin nuvi 260W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator combines a thin profile with a widescreen that offers a clear display and accurate geographic positioning. With a high-sensitivity receiver, you are able to know with pinpoint accuracy where you are, and with detailed NAVTEQ maps loaded onto your 260W, you can easily get to the place where you need to be.

The nuvi 260W comes preloaded with the most up-to-date maps for the US, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. And the text-to-speech feature means that you can keep your eyes safely on the road, while the navigator tells you exactly where you need to go. It will even call out street names for you.

The 4.3-inch backlit screen gives you an actual 70 percent more screen area than a navigator with a 3.5-inch screen, offering you a much better view of the area you’re driving in.

An SD card slot lets you load additional map information and navigation tools, and the rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides you with up to five hours of battery life. Garmin Lock, Garmin’s own theft prevention system requires a four-digit pin number to operate, keeping your 260W safe.

Ease of use, a crisp and clear widescreen display, and a highly-sensitive GPS satellite signal receiver give the Garmin nuvi 260W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator a leg up on other GPS systems. Add a price point that make this GPS navigator well within reach, and you’ll be ready for safe, quick and convenient navigation anywhere you choose.

Online Gift Certificates for Friends and Family at Christmas

GiftCertificate_MainThere are some people who are hard to buy for, and some you simply forgot about until the last minute. Either way, online gift certificates are the perfect solution for gifts you need to buy for friends and family at Christmas.

Online gift certificates are great presents for men and women, kids and adults. You can give gift cards for toy stores, clothing shops, video game stores, and even the recipient’s favorite restaurants!

Although they can be perfect for last minute shopping, online gift certificates can also be purchased in advance for special occasions. You can set a date in the future when it gets delivered, along with a special message from you. It’s as if your shopping is done on autopilot for you, so that you never forget anyone on your gift list.

Sometimes you’ll go to a broad online gift certificates website to buy your cards. If you do this, make sure you understand that it’s the individual companies that set the rules for their specific card, not the website. For example, if you want to give an online gift certificate to Target, you would look to them for rules on gift cards, not the gift card site selling the certificate to you.

Ten years ago, it was harder to feel confident giving online gift certificates to your friends and family. You didn’t know how web savvy the recipient was, and if they’d feel comfortable ordering online – since many people were skeptical about it.

But now, everyone shops online. Security risks are low with precautions retailers have taken to ensure your privacy, and online gift certificates help them spend money without handing over their own banking information if they have any residual doubts.

Some online gift certificates can be printed out and put in a Christmas card to be given to the gift recipient. Others will be emailed directly to the person, but you can add a special greeting to personalize the gift if you want.

Need some specific ideas about using gift certificates for friends and family? In addition to basic Visa, American Express or Discover cards, how about these:

• For grown women: PajamaGram, Amazon, Borders books, or Sephora cosmetics
• For grown men: Bass Pro Shop, Omaha Steaks, or PepBoys Auto
• For teens: Best Buy, Target, or iTunes
• For little ones: Toys R Us, Babies R Us, or Barnes and Noble

Online gift certificates are welcomed by everyone. They love getting to pick their own present and any denomination is okay. You could give cash in an envelope, but an online gift certificate makes it more special.

Zhu Zhu Pet Toy Hamsters

Zhu-zhu-pet-hamster-squigglesEvery year at Christmas time, there’s a craze that always starts over a handful of toys and this year, it’s the Zhu Zhu Pet Toy Hamsters. Contrary to popular belief, kids are not that easy to please.

They don’t like settling for ‘just anything’ when they really want a particular item any more than adults do. That’s almost like craving chocolate and being offered a bran muffin. Substitutes just don’t hit the mark.

But these pets always hit the mark and they come in different colors and they each have their own way of interacting. The first adorable hamster to make the hot Christmas toy list is named Mr. Squiggles. Kids can stroke his fur, listen to him make his hamster noises and watch him roam around.

Then also in the Zhu Zhu Pet Toy Hamsters family, there’s a lovely yellow one named Pipsqueek. In the play mode, this little guy is just full of fun and surprises. This little guy loves being petted.

Next in the hamster line is called Chunk. This fluffy little white hamster has a more gentle personality and makes such cute hamster noises. The only bad thing about this little guy is like the rest in his family, he’s in high demand and high demand toys are always difficult to find the closer it gets to Christmas. Hopefully production of the product will meet the demand so there won’t be any disappointed little ones who can’t get one until after the holidays.

The shyer hamster of the bunch goes by the name of Num Nums. Like the others, he will coo and make cute hamster associated noises. If you can get online before the rush, go ahead and get as many of these little guys as you need for all the kids on your list because they are items that are so cute they’ve become collectibles.

For added enjoyment for your kids to play with these loving little critters, you can find accessories and most people go ahead and buy both at the same time since they’re sure to get it that way.

One of the hot accessory items is the Hamster Funhouse. This is the home for the hamsters and it even has a little bathroom where the hamsters get ready for bed. The Funhouse also has a bedroom and a kitchen and when the hamsters move around in the house it provides hours of entertainment.

You can also get the Add On Hamster Wheel that allows the pets to exercise on the wheel. Then you can also get the Adventure Ball. Put the hamster inside and watch him go! Finally, another Zhu Zhu Pet Toy Hamsters item that’s part of the craze is the Add On Garage. The pets get to tool around town in their own sedan that gets great hamster mileage. It’s so much fun to watch the hamster get into the car and take off.

Give a Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver With Heart Rate Monitor for Christmas

76-garmin-gps-watchOne of the most familiar names in GPS is Garmin. The maker of several models of portable GPS systems, Garmin knows how to get you where you’re going. But that’s not all Garmin GPS electronics can do for you! The Garmin Forerunner 305 is a GPS receiver that is also a fitness tool.

With its built in heart rate monitor, it becomes the perfect fitness helper for runners, joggers, windsurfers, cross-country skiers and more. Whether it’s strapped to your wrist or to your bike handles, you’ll wonder what you did before the Forerunner came along.

The design of the new 305 surpasses the fitness GPS receivers of past generations. It’s less bulky and more comfortable to be sure. And the design is curved, so that the receiver’s antenna is always facing the sky when you’re wearing it – this is perfect for viewing, but also for accurate signal reception from tracking satellites.

And the Garmin Forerunner 305′s display is clear, with great resolution and clarity. In a successful effort to make operation easy, the buttons have been laid out in a logical design, and respond well to pressure.

Power is provided via a rechargeable lithium-ion battery – you can connect with either an AC adapter (included), or a USB cable, which can also transfer data between your Forerunner and your computer.

The Garmin Forerunner 305 with heart rate monitor isn’t built for in depth navigating. That’s not to say it can’t accurately let you know where you are. This tool is built for tracking your pace, your elevation, your speed and your distance, along with your heart rate, to let you know how effective your workouts are and to help you improve them, while moving to your own next best fitness level.

There is a high-sensitivity GPS receiver integrated into your Garmin Forerunner, which is able to make contact with satellites within a few short minutes of the very first start up, and then almost instantly with subsequent start ups. And the receiver is still able to track, even when you’re moving through densely wooded areas.

For fitness buffs, the most attractive features of the Forerunner 305 are those that can help create training programs and organize data. Real-time information is made available during workouts, and can include calories burned, speed, distance, elevation, grade, lap, pace and heading.

An optional heart rate chest strap can track average heart rate, heart rate zones and lap heart rate. And if you’re a cyclist, the optional wireless speed and cadence meter can help you gather data about your biking performance.

The 305 can be set up to display the data that is most important to you, and you can even use the Virtual Partner if you’re the type that needs someone to encourage you to keep moving. The Forerunner 305 lets you create workouts that range in intensity level and intervals, and the included Training Center software allows you to use your PC or Mac to track performance, graph your data and watch your fitness increase.

If you or someone you know is serious about fitness, this is a small, but very powerful tool that you can use each time you workout. As a fitness gift, the Garmin Forerunner 305 with heart rate monitor is certain to be a favorite on Christmas day, and year ’round.

An Online Christmas Store Houses Gifts for Everyone You Know

You’re definitely not a scrooge. You love Christmastime. The baking of treats appeals to you. Decking the house out in boughs of holly is right up your alley. You can wrap gifts like a pro You like seeing the joy on people’s faces as they open the gift you picked out just for them. The only problem is that you hate shopping for gifts in retail stores, so an online Christmas store suits you just fine.

Shopping locally at retailers eats into your time and you can feel yourself tensing as you’re jostled by strangers who don’t seem to know the meaning of personal space.  Every year it seems your “to buy for” list gets longer and the crowds get more difficult to deal with.

There has to be a better way to shop and you’re determined that this year will be different. There is a better way to get that gift giving done that can be completed in a much more relaxing atmosphere – your own home! You can shop online for every person on your list.

By shopping online, you don’t have to worry about blowing your Christmas budget. You won’t be tempted to shop for items that aren’t on your list because you’re tired and just want to get out of the noise and crowd and get home. Plus, by picking up your Christmas gifts online, you don’t have to trek from one store to the next in search of gifts for different age groups.

You can find gifts for all age groups and usually under one online shopping roof. So you don’t even have to shop around on the Internet (unless of course you want to) and you probably will because the stress factor won’t be there anymore.

You can find clothes and matching accessories in an online Christmas store. You can buy shoes, car gadgets and items that teens swear are ‘must haves’ for their lives. There are collectibles, jewelry and stereo equipment for sale at online stores.

Anything you can imagine can be found by shopping online. If this is your first season shopping for gifts using your computer, you’ll enjoy it so much you won’t ever want to go back to the traditional way of shopping.

If your family has a tradition of sharing Christmas lists – suggestions of what loved ones would like to have as a gift, you can find everything on that list. Most kids are happy with any gift you give them and they know right away exactly what they want.

For the teenager or adult who doesn’t know what he or she wants, you can even pick up gift certificates to their favorite book or music store and let them get through the crowds to shop. Or who knows? They might like beating the crowds to and choosing their gifts themselves online as well.

Hot Christmas Toys for 2009

If you’re still pondering what you can get your kids or young relatives for Christmas, this handy checklist can make your shopping experience a whole lot easier. You need to discover what the hot Christmas toys for 2009 are so that you don’t see disappointment in their eyes when they unwrap their presents.

For one young age group on your shopping list – kids that are six and younger – you can’t go wrong buying the furry Elmo dolls that talk and are part of a popular kids’ show – Sesame Street. One of these dolls, the Tickle Me Elmo, laughed when tickled and sold out long before the Christmas holiday even began.

For the same age group, you can get the cool learning toys. Those are toys that are computerized and don’t feel like a learning experience so that kids are happy to learn and enjoy playing with it. Anything by LeapFrog is a good choice for this category.

Another hot Christmas toy for 2009 for the younger generation are the building blocks that come in bright colors, like Legos. Kids love building their own little worlds with these toys and the blocks are made to work with other blocks in the same collection.

Ride-on vehicles, made to look like miniature versions of the real deal have held their popularity for years and are still one of the hottest selling toys of 2009. Kids love zipping around the yard and going to imaginary places in their very own car, truck or motorcycle.

Any age group loves the furry collectible animals that come with their own virtual world, like the Zhu Zhu pet toy hamsters. You can buy clothing and accessories for these collectible animals. With some interactive toys, you get a code in a plastic tag on the animal. When you enter the code online, the pet in the virtual world also gets the same article of clothing.

Handheld game systems like the Nintendo DS are popular among every age level and you can find electronic games in a wide variety. Interactive electronic toys are always a hit among kids and some of the best selling interactive toys are video games, especially the video game systems that fly off the shelves early every shopping season. If you plan to get your child or relative a gaming system, you need to get it now.

For the quieter kids who aren’t into interactive electronic games, there are electronic notebooks where they can pen their favorite lyrics, poems or words. Of course, fashion dolls sell out every year and 2009 won’t be any different for this hot ticket item.

Now, you can even find fashion dolls associated with popular television shows or movies. Some of the fastest selling fashion dolls for 2009 are the new vampire dolls based on a best selling novel about vampires. These fashion dolls all have accessories to enable the receiver to be able to add items to dress the dolls.

Toys based on a movie that begin as one toy yet can morph into another are very hot right now – especially the robots that turn into vehicles known as transformers.  But none of the hot toys seem to last at the stores. They’re the first items to go so don’t get left holding the empty shopping buggy.

Many Prefer an Online Christmas Shop to Local Retailers

Are you looking forward to shopping this holiday season? Well brace yourself – so are millions of others. You’re going to be in quite a crowd as you travel from retail store to retail store looking for the right gifts. An online Christmas shop can be your safe haven away from this chaos.

Getting the right gift at the retail store is only half the battle. You’ll have a lot of holiday traffic to maneuver your way through, long waits at traffic lights, it’ll be stop and go all the way to each store.

When you finally reach your destination, you’ll find three to four cars waiting to zip into each free parking space or you’ll be in a queue of cars waiting to drive down the aisles in hopes of finding a slot for your vehicle. Worse than that is having to park far from the store where safety can be an issue even in the daylight hours.

Finally arriving inside the store, you find that the items you came to pick up have all sold out. Talk about frustrating! It’s no surprise that more and more people prefer to buy gifts from an online Christmas shop. They get to avoid the crowds (and their germs), have no waiting in line hassles and can order any time they choose at their own convenience.

Those opposed to online shopping bring up shipping costs and say they’d rather go to the store and save the money they’d pay in shipping. Okay, but let’s figure out how much it really costs you to go to the retail store versus shopping online.

Aside from the massive amount of time it takes to drive in the traffic, look for parking, wade through crowds of people and get checked out in long lines, there’s also the issue of gas you’re burning.

Plenty of online stores offer free shipping – like Amazon, for example, which offers free shipping on many orders over $25. Some have set rates for up to a particular price. For example, one store offers five dollar shipping on items tallying up to two hundred dollars.

By shopping online, you get to order the items you want hassle free. You can even arrange for the items to be gift wrapped and delivered right to the recipient’s door. It’s like having a personal shopper at your beck and call.

Tips on How to Wrap the Perfect Christmas Present

Not everyone knows how to wrap the perfect Christmas present. Some of the presents you see on display in stores look like they were wrapped by someone with decades of experience, while other presents look like they were wrapped by an octopus wearing oven mitts.

Why do your gift wrapping skills leave you feeling frustrated to the point you’re ready to just shove every gift in a bag and pronounce it finished? Is there an easy way to wrap the perfect Christmas present? Yes!

The first step is to get everything you’ll need for wrapping together in one localized area. If you have a small card table, those are the perfect height to use when you’re wrapping. Never wrap a gift on your bed or on the sofa. Not only can you nick the bed linens or sofa with the scissors, but because of the give in the mattress or sofa cushion, you’ll end up with wrinkles or lumps in the wrapping paper.

Don’t assume that just because you have an oddly shaped gift that it can’t be wrapped well or that you won’t be able to find a box to put it in. Even if you’re baking homemade goodies to share, there are special boxes and tins just for putting food times in.

Next, make sure you get boxes for the gifts that will fit inside boxes. If you have an oddly shaped large gift, know that you can find oversized boxes at moving companies. Boxes give you a flat, even surface to wrap. It also takes away the ‘feel it and guess what it is’ temptation for those who can’t wait for Christmas Day to find out what their gifts are.

Don’t play guessing games with the amount of wrapping paper you lay out for the gift. Measure the width and height of the gift with a ruler or measuring tape, then cut off that much wrapping paper leaving a little excess to make the corners nice and smooth.

Situate the gift in the center of the wrapping paper. Pull up one side of the paper and using a smallpiece of tape, secure it to the gift. Pull up the other side, fold over a quarter inch of the paper so that it tucks under and tape it to the first side. If you don’t like tape showing, you can use a heavy duty glue stick to secure the paper, just don’t get the glue on the gift itself.

To cover the line where you folded the paper, add a strip of Christmas ribbon or use fabric ribbon. You can add a store-bought bow or one you created yourself. Remember that practice makes perfect and you can wrap like a pro!

There are some top Christmas gifts for 2009 that are in demand, which can take the headache out of picking out just the right gift for any age group.

It’s amazing just how much technology grows and changes from one year to the next. Video games never go out of style. Kids – whether boys or girls (both young and young at heart) love video games.

The video games of old have morphed into games that allow the player to feel like they’re actually in the middle of the game. The good news is that many of the most popular brands of interactive video game have lowered their prices just in time for the holidays, so get yours before they run out.

Decide on which game system works best for your family – XBox 360 is a big hit right now, but close behind is the PS3 (Playstation 3), Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DSi and Playstation Portable (PSP).

Another top Christmas gift for 2009 are those soft, cuddly toy pets you can buy in a variety of sizes and animal shapes. What’s unique about these animals is that they actually have their own virtual world, so it’s not like you buy a stuffed animal and that’s it.

This furry pet known as a Zhu Zhu pet toy hamster, is a gift that’s ever-changing and kids never get bored of playing with it or developing the world these pets live in. You don’t want to wait – these are snatched off the shelves as soon as they arrive in stores. One of the reasons for its popularity is that in the virtual world, kids get to provide food, shelter and clothing for their pets. If their pets get sick, there’s even a virtual doctor!

For the older kids in your life, a hot cell phone on the market would be your best bet. It’s one of the hottest gifts of the year and teens everywhere are clamoring for those with special features such as cell phones that can play music, hook up to the Internet and play videos. You can never go wrong by buying teens the latest technology.

Women have always been the major picture takers in the family. They love to record life’s moments – both the scripted ones (holidays, birthdays, etc.) as well as the unscripted moments.

For those women, buying a digital camera is the way to go. The cameras our grandparents once used with film you had to buy and have processed are rarely seen anymore.

Today, digital cameras are a great gift for the picture taker in your family and it continues to be one of the best selling gifts of all time. You can pick a camera for the beginner or one with a ton of bells and whistles for the more advanced photographer.

Women have always said that men are harder to shop for. And it’s true. But you can make gift giving for the men you love by knowing what his hobbies or interests are. Is he a golf enthusiast? Is he fascinated by all things technological? For those men, pick up some of the hot selling gadgets such as virtual golf games, personal digital assistant, or GPS for his car or truck.

You want to pay attention to the top Christmas gifts for 2009 but you also want to take the individual into consideration. Just because digital cameras may be a trending topic this holiday for women’s gift purchases, if you know a woman in your life who just isn’t a picture taker, then find another suitable option that would make her happier instead.
